Life of Blondie Blondie was the most commercially successful band to sire forward from the much-vaunted punk/new wave movement of the new 70s. The multitude was formed in New York City in rarified 1974 by singer Deborah Harry (b. July 1, 1945, Miami), formerly of hustle in the Willows, and guitarist Chris Stein (b.
